By fostering or adopting from D&A Animal Rescue, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
- The animal will be provided with adequate fresh food and water, clean, dry shelter when outside, and daily exercise.
- Provide a safe collar with rabies and ID tags to be worn at all times.
- Obey all applicable laws governing control and custody of animals.
- Foster the animal as a family companion only.
- The dog is not to ride loose in the bed of pickup trucks or convertibles, nor be left in a car when air temperatures exceed 70°F.
- The foster family agrees to have a clean, secure fenced area for the dog. If a fenced enclosure is not available, the foster family agrees to leash-walk the dog.
- The foster family understands that the rescue retains legal control of the animal and is not authorized to make legal or medical decisions on the animal's behalf until an adoption contract is signed.
- If the foster-to-adopt placement does not work out, the foster family agrees to allow potential adopters approved by the rescue to meet the foster dog at the family home or at another reasonable location, and to answer questions from potential adopters.
- The rescue makes no guarantees regarding the dog's age, breed, health, or temperament. While the rescue has made every effort to provide accurate history and assessment, it cannot guarantee the dog’s age, breed, medical status, behavior, or disposition beyond disclosed information.
- Any vetting costs for the dog during the foster-to-adopt period will be the responsibility of the potential adopter unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- The foster agrees to release the rescue and its members or representatives from any and all claims arising from injury or damage caused by the animal to any person or property.
- If you choose to adopt your foster pet, you must sign an adoption contract within three weeks of the dog’s arrival to your home.
- I understand and agree that the adoption fee ranges from $400 to $900 and transportation costs range from $250 to $450. I acknowledge these fees are required, non‑refundable, and cover veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, and transportation.
By signing and submitting the intake application form, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
